Methods to avoid crushing in injection mold processing

The production is suspended due to the long-time repair of the die due to the demand of the die, which will lead to the delay of the production plan and the failure to deliver on time. The defects of the repaired die appear again and again and cannot reach the previous production status. It is an operation that Z does not want to see in the injection molding industry, and its importance is obvious. Therefore, the factory will not only formulate a set of preventive measures to avoid injection molding, but also formulate a set of reward and punishment assessment system for mold crushing.

1、 Prevention methods of crushing in injection mold processing

1. Train the staff how to correctly operate the injection molding machine and operation methods, how to avoid the injection molding parts from crushing the mold during production, and strengthen the sense of responsibility.

When the mold is the first mock exam to remove the product and nozzle, each module needs to check and recognize that there is no foreign matter in the mold before it can be moulds and produce continuously.

2. Ensure that the operation condition of the manipulator is normal, the fixture of the manipulator is safe and reliable, and the air pipe and line are smooth.

When the injection molding machine uses full-automatic production, the manipulator should turn on the alarm system. When the boom is running, the signal will not be short circuited. When the boom is up, down and out, and the product is not taken out or falls on the worktable, the production will be stopped immediately and the alarm will be announced.

3. In the process of injection mold processing, when the injection molding machine changes and debugs the process or the machine gives an alarm, we should clarify our ideas and do a good job in each step of the operation process of the injection molding machine to avoid crushing the mold due to hand error.

For the mold equipped with core pulling equipment, the action sequence should be clear. Open the mold first and then pull the core, or pull the core first and then open the mold, and then start the operation and setting. Do not operate blindly.

4. When the product is produced by full-automatic fixed time falling, the mold with simple structure and no sticking of the front mold shall be selected for production scheduling, which can be used to reduce the pressure and damage the mold.

When each injection molding machine is produced, it is necessary to set low-pressure protection for clamping parameters. The pressure speed of low-pressure protection decreases, which can avoid mold deformation caused by excessive clamping pressure. When plastic products are clamped in the mold, the harm of the mold can be reduced.

5. During the start-up and commissioning of injection mold processing, reduce the occurrence of defective products, and try to avoid secondary injection molding caused by missing filling and material (short shot) left in the mold cavity.

Avoid rough edges caused by improper setting of injection molding process parameters or thermal decomposition of materials and excessive filling. If it is not found in time, it will cause permanent depression on the parting surface.

6. Injection mold processing for molds prone to danger, in order to prevent the die from being crushed due to the non reset of thimble and neutron, connect the thimble limit and reset equipment on the die thimble plate / oil cylinder, which can be used to reduce accidents.

If conditions permit, the equipment mold monitoring equipment (mold eye) can detect whether there are foreign matters in the mold cavity, whether the product is short of materials and excessive materials, whether the sliding block and thimble are reset normally, and then protect the mold, which can effectively prevent the injection molding parts and foreign matters from damaging the mold, and avoid delaying the production period and delivery time by stopping the machine to repair the mold.

7. Make production plan for injection mold processing, and repair and maintain the mold on time. Avoid that the ejection is not smooth due to too much dirt blocking the ejection system;

Dismantle and wash the mold on time to avoid the "burning" of ejector pin and sliding block caused by lack of lubricating oil;

Professionals should be employed in the processing and disassembly of injection mold to prevent problems such as wrong installation of mold slider, reverse installation of thimble direction, and no installation of screws on the inclined top.
